Productivity Tip of the Week

My goal this week is to get back to my running routine by getting it done before my work day starts! My job has been crazy busy and if I want to get anything done on my blog and YouTube channel, or fitness, I have to do it all before my day begins.  

This week, I’ll be making it a priority to get out of bed 30 minutes earlier than usual to give me time to wake up and do my mini treadmill runs before work! I challenge you to wake up at least 10 minutes earlier than you usually do, if you are finding yourself disappointed in the amount of things you get done before bed.  

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Waking up earlier is hard. But I promise once you’re actually up and moving it’s easy! My biggest tip and the only thing that keeps me from getting back in bed in the morning is this: 

I put my phone on the charger in my bathroom and turn the alarm volume up loud enough so I’ll still hear it from the bedroom.  I lay my gym clothes (and a cozy cardigan to layer since it’s always chilly in the mornings) on the bathroom counter next to my toothbrush and under my phone.  

When my alarm goes off and I stumble into the bathroom half asleep, I am not going to turn around the get back in bed because I’ve made it easy for myself to just throw on my gym clothes and get my day started! 

Outfit Favorites of the Week

Since I’ve been running more and I weight train in the gym, I need a pair of leggings that are not going to move around and that are comfortable.  I suggest the Lululemon Wunder Train and Base Pace leggings. They are amazing and do not move when I’m working out.  If I were to choose one, I would choose the Wunder Trains just because I like the way they fit and the material better, but if you are mainly doing HIIT or cardio, I think you’d like the Base Pace better! Books I’m Loving

I’m still reading the 8 part series from Lucy Score called Blue Moon and I’m loving it so far.  It’s 8 novels, all over 300 pages and super cute, light books to read.  I finished book 1 “No More Secrets (Blue Moon Book 1)” this week and gave it 7/10. I’m now on to the second book and love it just as much! These are perfect pool and beach reads which makes me really excited for summer!

Anything Else I have to tell you! 

I’ve been getting back into my posture training using my Upright Go device, and my upper back is sore again.  I stopped using it for basically the entire month of February and noticed how bad my posture was all day while working. I wear this little device most of the day at my desk or when I’m at social events and it goes off so much because I have such terrible posture.  If you want better posture, this thing has been amazing to have and makes me feel confident in my posture! The more I train, the more I am focused on my posture when I’m sitting at my desk or at dinner.  The goal is for my back muscles to get used to good posture so it becomes natural for me. 

Also, I’ve been having terrible wisdom tooth pain… I refused to get them out when I was in high school because I am terrified of anesthesia and surgery but I have to get them out.  Wish me luck! I’ll be going to appointments and getting that scheduled this week….
