Weekly Happenings- February 16

ANNOUNCEMENT: I decided these posts will be coming out Sundays now instead of Wednesdays! I used to think it was perfect to have a mid week pick me up, but I think it’ll be more beneficial for everyone (including myself) to receive this productivity focused newsletter on Sundays so we can all start the week off right!

Starting next week, these posts will be in your inbox every Sunday.

Productivity Tip of the Week

On days when I’m not feeling productive, I revert back to the simple to do list. I write one in my phone in my notes app or on paper with little check boxes so I can check off each task as I do them. It snowballs as I continue to check items off, and it makes me excited to get through the entire list.

You have to find what makes you excited to get your to dos done. For me, it’s simple. I like the feeling of accomplishment to have everything checked off for the day that I needed to get done.

I challenge you to try it one day this week- make a super simple list that you can check off through the day, and don’t fill your list with dreadful tasks. I include a lot of my daily habits that I’m going to do anyways like make my bed or stretch. It can even be “Enjoy a cup of coffee”. You will go to bed feeling so accomplished and ready to take on another productive day if you do this.

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Productivity is oftentimes an internal battle. For some of us, it may come easy but for me, I have spent years working on myself to be a productive person. I use a habit tracker app because I found that I love the daily challenge to hold me accountable. I like checking things off a list. I like doing my most important tasks in the morning so I can spend the rest of the day doing whatever I feel like.

This week, learn this those things about yourself. Should you force yourself to workout in the mornings, because you realistically won’t get to it in the evenings? Or should you sleep in a little because you aren’t sleeping as much as you should, and you workout better in the afternoons when you have more energy and you’ve already eaten a meal or two?

These are things that take practice and time to learn about yourself.  They are the most important part of being more productive and taking control of your daily life.

Outfit Favorites of the Week

I got my ultra mini Uggs in the mail FINALLY. I ordered them December 1st and they just arrived last week! They are the perfect shoe for around the house and to slip on and wear out when it’s cold. I love the “antelope” color too. They are forever out of stock and back ordered, but linking them here so you’ll know where to look if you’re wanting a pair too!

I also scored two amazing layering necklaces from Kendra Scott with a little layering piece.

Here are the items I bought this week from Lululemon and Abercrombie:

Books I’m Loving

“Things We Never Got Over” by Lucy Score- I gave this book a 10/10 after finishing it and it was so so so good. I was so into it and it was a longer novel which I appreciate because I didn’t want it to ever end!

I’m now reading book 12 of 2022 “Regretting You” by Colleen Hoover- literally have read one chapter so I don’t have an opinion yet.

Anything Else I have to tell you!

I am so excited for the next few months. Spring is coming, and I have a Lululemon haul and a spring Abercrombie haul on the way to my house which I can’t wait to film and share on my YouTube!

Xoxo, Jess
