Welcome to my blog- where I share everything with you!

Enjoy!

November 2023

Hello again-

Long time no talk! I used to do “weekly happenings” where I would send out a weekly email and publish a weekly blog post. I would summarize the past week, share my “weekly favorites”, and my weekly goals.

It just got to be too much. Last year I stopped the weekly posts because I was started to become way too bogged down. I have a full time job and recently took on a lot more responsibility, meaning my weekends were busier because I was catching up on my own personal business and my own homemaking. I decided to cut out the weekly posts and only recently started missing them!

I have started doing Monthly Reset videos on my YouTube channel since May, and have LOVED doing these. They keep me accountable, they are fun to make, and I love summing up parts of my month with you. However, I still miss my blog! So, I’m back with monthly updates. I’ll update these posts with some of my favorite content I’ve released the previous month, my YouTube videos that went live that month, as well as my favorite items from the previous month.

November Reset Video:

In this video, I talk about how October went, my goals (both business and personal) for myself in November, and my favorite items from the month of October.

Last month’s favorites:

Books I read last month:

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

    • Rated 5/5 stars - Book 1/5 in the ACOTAR series. They are making this book series into a TV series I believe, and for good reason. I’m usually not one to read fantasy novels, but I am one to read some romance and heard this was a bit spicy. Honestly it wasn’t spicy at all; the one spicy scene was great but it was mainly action packed and fantasy based. I recommend reading this series if you enjoy fantasy style books- even if you don’t usually reach for that genre like myself!

  • A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

    • Rated 5/5 stars- book 2/5 in the ACOTAR series. This was my favorite one so far because the entire plot took a MAJOR twist, changing the course of the entire story.

  • A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

    • Rated 4/5 stars- book 3/5 in ACOTAR series. I thought there were many parts in this one that went on too long with too much dialogue and the details were so much I couldn’t keep track the entire time. I also found it difficult to get into like I did the first 2, which is why I knocked a star off. However, the last 30% of the book was AMAZING and kept me hooked until the end.

  • The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

    • Rated 5/5 stars- I am physically ill after reading this one- it is a powerful and heartbreaking story of women war heroes in France during WWII. I stayed up so late reading this for so many nights because I just couldn’t put it down. Isabelle wanted to fight in the war and wanted to help France. She falls in love while creating a runaway trail over the Pyrenees mountains to save downed pilots with the Allies. Her sister, Vianne, is in the countryside of France while Nazis billet in her home. The book tells about concentration camps, the starvation France was living through. Excellent read and that’s coming from someone who hates history! This was my first ever historical fiction read and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. Enough that I’m planning to pick up more in that genre next year!
