5 Ways to Set Positive Tone for Your Day

5 Ways to Set Positive Tone for Your Day

Your morning routine is arguably one of the most important parts of your entire day. I have spent years cultivating a morning routine that feeds my soul and makes me feel happy all day long. I have a YouTube video that goes into my exact AM routine:

That is my morning routine, but honestly you don’t need to have a strict morning routine every single day. There are bound to be mornings when your alarm doesn’t go off, or your kid is sick or some reason why you may not be able to do your AM routine. When that happens, know that your day is not off to a “bad” start! You just have to shift your mindset.

I am sharing 5 ways to set a positive tone for your day in this video because it is something you can do to impact the rest of your day, no matter what gets in your way!

5 Ways to set a Positive Tone for the Day:

  1. Start the night before- go to bed with a positive and excited mindset, change the label on your alarm to some words of affirmation or words to excite you about the new day, change your lock screen wallpaper to a motivational quote. Here is my wallpaper that I made using Pinterest images!

  2. No Phone Time- set a time for yourself to keep your phone in airplane mode and not look through social media. It can seem harmless, but it’s distracting of your goals, and starts a cycle of comparison when you do this first thing in the morning.

  3. Scripting/affirmations/journaling- do a brain dump in the AM and start practicing my LOA tips (my video on Law of Attraction is here). This tip changed my life and I can tell mentally the days I skip out on affirmations and journaling and the days I do. I also incorporate a devotional into my AM routine most mornings to keep practicing my faith.

  4. Workout or do something active- this does WONDERS for your mental health. I struggle with anxiety when I don’t stay active. Even if it’s just yoga or one of my 7 minute ab videos from my playlist, something is better than nothing and makes you feel like you’ve already accomplished so much the rest of the day and gives you energy.

  5. Power of positive thinking- your entire world is determined by your brain and mindset. I know how dramatic that may sound but it’s so true how much your thoughts affects your mood and the way you see your world and your life. I think the hardest thing for us to do is very simple: thinking positive thoughts every single day. Turning a “ugh I don’t want to go to the office” into a “I am thankful for my salaried job with great coworkers and a nice office to spend my time in” is hard to do but it changes my day! I still would rather be home than in my office, but that is my reality right now so why waste time and energy being negative about it?!

I hope you enjoyed this post and my video- it all comes down to you taking control of your day mentally and staying in a positive mindset!
