Productivity Tip of the Week

Small strides make the most difference.  I know it’s easy to forget sometimes that the smaller tasks in the day, and the smaller habits you have, can actually make the most difference in a month.  I get way carried away with making large habits, not being able to follow through with them (because they are not easy enough to do daily), and then feeling guilty and lazy.  If you relate to this, try to break your large goals into bite-sized chunks, and see if that makes it easier to stick with.

An example: My goal used to be to walk 1 mile, do a 20 minute strength training circuit, work on my flexibility for 10 minutes, and do 10 minutes meditation. Every day. It’s really not that difficult, but only on my most motivated days did I accomplish this and I realized it’s just not a habit I can keep up with. So now, I have a goal of doing something active daily.  Some days that’s literally just a stretching/yoga flow, or just a walk, or it’s all of those things! But I am more active, on a more regular basis, because my goal of doing something active every day is more achievable.

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Tomorrow will soon be yesterday.  I remind myself of this when I’m having a bad day, and it helps me remember that we are in control of our lives more than it feels sometimes.  If you have a to-do list that seems too long, just cross one thing off your list.  It’ll feel better knowing you at least got one thing done, and I guarantee you you will be more motivated to start crossing more off your list.  Tomorrow will soon be yesterday, so make the most of the time you are in right now and stop putting it off until tomorrow.

Jewelry of the Week

I wore these Amazon rings and this Amazon bracelet as a set last weekend and forgot how much I love them together.  They are Cartier inspired and while the bracelet is more for fashion, the rings look very similar to the real thing! I wear the silver and gold ring stacked and love the mixed metal look.

Outfit Favorites of the Week

I’ve been living in my Barefoot Dreams robe at nighttime and in the mornings- it’s unbelievably soft and cozy and it’s SO warm but also doesn’t make me hot! I’ve also been in my Bombas gripper slippers lately because it’s cooling down finally and the wood floors in my house feel colder in the cooler temps! These are perfect because they aren’t cumbersome like a lot of slippers are, and they keep my feet TOASTY.  I don’t know what the magic is in these either but they are 100% my favorite cozy slippers/socks ever

Books I’m Loving

Atomic Habits is life changing! I have gained so much knowledge about why I’ve always found it difficult to stick to goals, and it’s helping me turn my life around and create new habits that I can scientifically stick to- goals that don’t require a boost of motivation to complete.

Anything Else I have to tell you!

Christmas is going to be here faster than you realize! I have heard so many rumors of shipping delays and low inventory creating a problem for those who wait until December to do all their shopping.  I decided that this year, I wanted all my Christmas shopping done in the month of October.  Our budget doesn’t love that, but my stress levels do! I want to spend the month of November wrapping presents, decorating for Christmas, and enjoying Thanksgiving without thinking about who I still need to buy for and what I’m going to get them.

I made gift guides of my favorite gifts I’ve given or received, and gifts that I feel are meaningful and not just throwing something random under the tree for a loved one.
