Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

The famous Nordstrom Anniversary sale is upon us! It happens every year just as we are all getting sick of summer and excited for fall- but don’t fall too far into the trap! This sale is GREAT for really high quality basics, but my advice is not to spend a bunch on money on random tops and sweaters- I guarantee by the time it actually gets cool enough to wear those items you will have forgotten all about them and moved on to better items!

So on to my picks! I’ll go over what is pictured above from left to right, starting at top left.

1- Barefoot Dreams tassel blanket- I do not recommend buying these blankets on this sale, because they tend to go on sale for about half the sale price on Nordstrom Rack a few months later. However, if you are dying for one and you don’t want a plain blanket, go for these! They only go on sale during this sale. Still too much for me, but highly popular and super soft.

2- Flare Jeans- These are no longer available so I could not link them, but they are a popular brand and known for quality. Flare jeans are super on trend for the fall and winter and I’m looking for a new pair for the fall!

3- Slip Silk scrunchies- I have the Slip silk pillowcases and SWEAR by them- the silk honestly keeps your hair smooth overnight and also prevents wrinkly skin because it allows your skin and hair to move freely on the pillowcase and does not tug. If you’re someone who wears your hair up at night, these would be perfect!

4- Blank NYC suede jacket- I have the leather jacket and wore it every time we went anywhere last fall and winter- but I always wanted to have a suede one! Because I love the black leather jacket so much, I know this suede one will be a favorite in my closet!

5- Barefoot dreams cardigan- I thought last year it was so stupid for someone to spend over $60 on a cardigan until I felt this brand in real life. It feels way too good to be true! There is nothing I love more than to be cozy, and I got this heather color because it looks a little dressier- easier to wear in the office in the winter!

6- Over the knee boots- I wear OTK boots alllll the time in the winter- these are a great brand and are an excellent price!

7- Slip silk pillowcases- As mentioned earlier, the silk pillowcases have been a dream for us! Mack and I refuse to sleep on any other material now. We decided to buy a new set so I wouldn’t have to plan out the washing of ours anymore.

8- Booties- This heel height is the BEST for booties! I love pointed toe, and I am getting the black leather ones. I get a half size larger so I can wear socks with them. I wore the MESS out of my point toe suede booties last year, and decided I really needed to get a leather pair so the suede could take a break between wears.

9- This is the blank NYC black leather jacket I discussed earlier- I wore this SO MUCH. It was definitely my most worn item from last year, and I am excited to wear it again this year! So warm and doesn’t fit tight, even though I ordered an XS.

10- Free People busted knee jeans- SIZE UP in these! So comfy, because since the knees are busted out you can move around so easily. Sounds odd but I’m just being honest lol. They are a perfect shade of blue, and I love the way they look with a sweater! Just a fun pair of jeans to wear- I wore them all the time the last 2 years! Pro tip- I got mine actually from Macy’s 2 years ago for $20- no joke! I haven’t seen them on sale like that since, but I also haven’t really been looking. If these are not on the top of your list, I recommend the other items before these!

11- *The best for last* Spanx faux leather leggings- THESE. ARE. SO. WORTH. THE. HYPE. And this price on them- you can’t even buy them for less on poshmark! Go ahead and look. They RARELY go on sale and I can honestly say I’ve never seen them below $70 on sale before, so if you have been on the fence, NOW IS THE TIME. They suck you in a comfortable way which I didn’t even know was possible until I wore these, and that’s why they are my go to leggings for Thanksgiving!
